Edward Crowell is Founder and Executive Director of Imperial Performing Arts in Sugar Land, Texas, Fort Bend County's only resident professional performing arts organization. He was a recent speaker at Sugar Land Rotary.
 
Mr. Crowell is a singer, actor, and composer, and has written four operas which have been professionaly produced. He has served on the staff of the Abilene Cultural Affairs Council, the Historic Paramount Theatre, and Lakehouse Opera. Mr. Crowell is a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University, where he currently serves as Vice President of the University's Board of Young Associates. Under his leadership since 2008, Imperial Performing Arts has produced over a dozen plays, operas, and concerts, along with numerous arts education activities, all performed and directed by professional artists throughout the US and Europe.
