Carolyn Tarver with Project SMILE, Stan’s Memory Includes Loving Everyone, started the program by helping 12 children during the holidays when her only son, Stan, died in a tragic accident. As the need for toys grew larger each year, the Exchange Club of Sugar Land and Sugar Land Rotary decided to help her fulfill her dream and last year alone, over 3,500 children received over 10,000 gifts during the holiday season. Pictured are John Robson and Himesh Ghandi, Sugar Land Exchange Club members, accepting the check from Sugar Land Rotary.
