Sugar Land Rotary to Celebrate Veterans Day on Nov. 17

Sugar Land Rotary is honoring the nation's veterans at a special Annual Sugar Land Rotary Veterans Day Celebration from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Nov. 17 at Sweetwater Country Club, 4400 Palm Royale Blvd.,Sugar Land.

Hal Jay, Veterans Day Event Chairman, said the club plans to use the event to honor veterans in the local community. "We must continue to remind the generations to come about the significance of Veterans Day and its inception and place in our nation's history. Many of those who were there are no longer with us, and we cannot forget," said Jay. The meal will be complimentary of Sugar Land Rotary and Friends for all veterans and their spouses. The cost for Rotarians and non-veteran guests will be $25 per person. Table sponsorships are also available for $200 each.
