Natalie Lerner 2023-2024

Hey there! We’re so glad you decided to check us out. Welcome!

If you are new to the concept of Rotary, we are 1.4 million neighbors across the world that provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. Plus, fun fact, Rotary is the only service organization in the world with a seat at the United Nations!

No matter our walk in life, or how we vote at the polls, what bonds us together is that we are people of action that believe in service above self. We celebrate our diversity! As your local club, we are committed to serving Sugar Land, Missouri City, Stafford, and Meadows Place. You will find hundreds of local clubs across our great state though. On a regional level, the entire Greater Houston area is part of a beautifully active district, as we call it, which we are proud to be a part of. (We absolutely enjoy collaborating with any one of our district’s various clubs when the opportunity arises!) Lives are changed and impacted every day because of the work of these wonderful Rotarians!

Perhaps you might be reading this saying, “Wow, I guess I have been a Rotarian for years,” or “I want to be a part of such a beautiful mission.” If that is you, it is not an accident that you found us. We’ve been waiting for you! I truly believe your gifts and talents were called to a time such as this. It would be an honor to have you join us on the adventure. We have a blast serving together and always have room for one more!

The Rotary International theme and goal for this next year is to “Create Hope in the World”. We aim to restore hope by promoting peace, preventing disease, providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene, saving mothers and children, supporting education, and protecting the environment. Additionally, with one in four people affected by a mental illness in their lifetime, we are on a mission to demystify the stigmas tied to mental illness, as well as to improve programs related to mental health.

In the months ahead, we will earnestly work to do more good in a single year than we ever have before, and we aim to do it with ease, grace, and passionate synergy.

I am personally pumped about this next year, and am more honored than anyone will ever know to be asked to lead the Rotary Club of Sugar Land into the charge. This club has impacted my life so deeply, and I just know great things are ahead.

Reach out if you have any questions, but otherwise, I hope to meet you at our next meeting. “Alone we can do so little, but together we can do so much.” Your Rotary adventure awaits!

Humbly yours,
Natalie Lerner, Sugar Land Rotary President 2023-2024
