Carolyn Tarver, a beloved local philanthropist whom Sugar Land Rotary supported for many years, has passed away.
Some of you may not know Carolyn. She founded Project SMILE to provided Christmas gifts for needy Fort Bend Children. This grew into Santa’s Exchange, which serves thousands of children each year. She has also continued to provide gifts to children who were not enrolled in Santa Exchange. She also founded the non-profit Bethel Ministries to provide community services. Bethel provides back to school supplies each August. Sugar Land Rotary has supported all of these projects. There is more about Carolyn at:
