What a fantastic day of celebration, appreciation, and community spirit! On October 25th, the Sugar Land Rotary Club gathered at The George Ranch Historical Park in Richmond to host and support the Fort Bend First Responder Family Picnic—a special event dedicated to saying a huge “Thank You!” to the brave men and women who keep our communities safe every single day.
  Highlights from the Day
It was an action-packed day packed with fun, music, and great fellowship:
Field Games & Fun: The field was buzzing with energy as families participated in interactive games and activities.
Door Prizes Galore: Plenty of lucky attendees walked away with incredible door prizes given throughout the afternoon!
High-Energy Beats: The live music kept the atmosphere rockin', featuring an unforgettable, high-energy performance by the Dulles High School Drumline!

   Service Above Self in Action
Events like this don't happen without dedicated hands and servant hearts. A massive round of applause and heartfelt thanks go out to our incredible volunteer team:
7 Sugar Land Rotarians who stepped up to direct logistics, host, and ensure everything ran seamlessly.
32 Energetic Interact Club & ROTC Volunteers who brought incredible enthusiasm, helping with setup, games, and keeping the energy high all day long.
Their hard work ensured that our local first responders and their families could sit back, relax, and enjoy a well-deserved day of recognition.

   Looking Ahead to Next Year!
While this year’s picnic was a roaring success, we are already looking forward to making next year’s event even bigger and better.
Want to get involved next time? We’d love to have even more Rotarians jump in on the fun! Keep an eye out for future announcements and volunteer sign-ups as we continue to support our Fort Bend community heroes.
